Michael Hayden (Age 17) of Rancho Palos Verdes (Los Angeles), CA ran a PR 3:07:54 on Saturday at the San Diego Rock-N-Roll Marathon. This time placed him as second in the 18-year and under age group in the race and fourth male under 20 in the race. Mike was looking for a qualifier for the 2008 Boston Marathon, which he got.

June 1, 2007- Roanoke, VA

Steve Crowder (Botetourt, VA) served notice that the birth of his new daughter Kaitlyn was not going to impact his training or racing. Steve won the 10K at the Festival in the Park in downtown Roanoke, VA. After just three quarters of a mile into the race, Steve found himself leading both the 10K and 5K runners. He made the decision that if he was going to get it done, it would be alone—and that’s just what he did. Steve said “I would have liked to be 10-15 seconds faster, but it was really humid and hot. It would have been nice to have some help out there, but it was a good indicator of my fitness level and a hint of things to come.”
